IBBU CREATES NEW DIRECTORATE, APPOINTS NEW DIRECTORS

The Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University has created a directorate to oversee, coordinate and monitor all research activities in the University as well as with external national and international bodies.
Professor Nuhu Obaje has been appointed as the Coordinating Director of the Directorate.
Until his appointment, Professor Obaje was the Director of the Centre for Applied Sciences and Technology (CASTER).
In the same vein, new Directors have been appointed to man research centres in the University. They are; Professor Folorunso Alimi Lawal, a Professor of Agricultural Economics, is now the Director, Centre for Applied Sciences and Technology Research (CASTER); Professor Steve Nwokeocha, a Professor of Sociology of Education is to head Centre for Educational, Social and Management Studies; Professor Sule Egya, a Professor of Languages, takes charge of Centre for Arts and Indigenous Studies; and Associate Professor Dickson Achimugu, of Biochemistry Department will head Centre for Trans-Saharan Disease and Drug Development.
Others are, Dr. Salihu Adelabu, Business Administration Department, as Director, Centre for Research Commercialization, while Dr. (Mrs) Juliana Dauda of Sociology Department, is the Director, Centre for Gender Affairs.
All appointments are with immediate effect.
The Management and entire University community wish the appointees a successful and fruitful tenure.
